The Caden Academy is a specialised school in Cape Town dedicated to supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, ADD, Asperger's Syndrome, and Global Development Delay (GDD). Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children with special needs can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Caden Academy, formerly known as SNAP Southern Suburbs, was founded in 2015 by Caden Steenveld's parents in collaboration with the Special Needs Adapted Program (SNAP). What began as a small initiative for three children has grown into a beacon of hope for families across Cape Town.
Our name change symbolises our journey of growth and dedication to providing the highest level of care and education to learners with special needs.
At The Caden Academy, we provide a adapted Caps Curriculum for children from pre-Grade R to Grade 4. Our approach emphasises small class sizes (a maximum of six learners per class) and individualised attention. Our programs and services include:
Pre-Grade R readiness with a qualified teacher and assistant.
Adapted curriculum tailored to the needs of our learners.
Personalised plans for learners needing additional support.
Morning care, aftercare, extra-mural activities such as playball, horse riding, and occupational therapy.
Proven expertise in supporting learners with ASD, ADHD, and other developmental challenges.
Tailored teaching methods that promote independence and growth.
A supportive community for parents and families.
